INFORMATIVE, INSPIRATIONAL, HUMOROUS - THE SPICE OF LIFE

PERSONAL THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
Today, consider looking through an old photo album to bring back fond memories of the past.  Then, go out and take more to make new ones.

INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"Nature does nothing uselessly." ~ Aristotle

FUN FACT OF THE DAY:
Salt isn't just for cooking and seasoning meals.
  • To test the freshness of an egg, place it in a cup of water with two teaspoons of salt.  A fresh egg will sink and a bad egg will float.
  •  After peeling apples, pears, or potatoes, place them in a bowl of cold, lightly salted water to prevent them from browning.
  • Scour iron pots and pans with salt to remove grease and grime.
  • Remove coffee and tea stains from mugs by rubbing them with water and salt.
  • Improve the taste of our favorite coffee by adding a pinch of salt to the brew to reduce bitterness.
  • Rub tarnished silverware with salt and water for a great shine.

PICTURE OF THE DAY:
My little dog, Honey, enjoying the view during her morning walk.
Honey is a 2-year-old Puggle (half beagle, half pug).
